Control Box layout and templates
This guitar will have EMG 81/60 2 volumes, 1 tone and 3 way switch, probably a min toggle switch for 9V/18V operation.
Designing the layout making templates is taking its time, the short shaft on the EMG pots also made lose some time thinking on a solution on how to use them without being on a scratch plate, the solution is to carve some dimples on the pots position, that will mean the majority off the cavity will have a around 6mm off wood on guitar top, just the a small portion where the pots will be lower than that.
On the neck pocket the wood splinted when i was routing it, i mixed some wood off the dust and wood glue and made a filer.
I had to make 2 templates for routing the shape off the control box cavity, since the outer parts i routed i used 9/10mm templates i used for the back also, but since for the control cavity plate you i wanted to remove only around 3mm off wood from the top wood without removing anything with drills before the bearing could not fallow the template, so i had cut again a new template by hand, route the shape, then cut the majority off the control cavity out and finally routing it. The solution was using 16mm wood and adjusting slightly the bit in the router.
Next is drilling the cavity and routing it, same for battery box.
