Page 2 - Back to the origins
Since i did not like the state off the guitar i had the brilliant idea of removing the original finish and refinish it.
Might sound good but i clearly did not know in what situation i was going to place my self in.

On the neck the finish was slightly less thick and the bigger part actually was removed fairly easy just sanding, but that's where the easy part ends. The rest off the guitar the finish was much harder and sand paper would not do much, so i used paint stripper, witch is messy, smelly and unpleasant. Even the paint stripper only removed a part off the "Stain", not sure if this was truly stained.
How thick is that lacquer you ask? Very thick since the paint stripper left the body smelly and only worked in stages, you need to apply wait try to remove some paint apply some more stripper.... so when in the later parts off the 2nd day i did not apply it since in the first day the guitar was very smelly. So i attacked it with orbital sander witch was not cutting it... so i removed the blade off my spoke shave and used it a bit also. That lacquer is just from a part off the upper horn and from some passes, there's a lot more from where that came from...
The pickup routing reached the tremolo cavity, and the place for the 3/5 way blade switch is very thin.
In the original photos the neck was visible that mark, witch is can be felt, i believe it was made when the fretboard was replaced, the pickups cavity and control cavity are painted with weird paint witch is not the electric conducting type used for ground shielding.
This guitar probably had other type off bridge in the past, those marks in there where filed, also the headstock was increased in size and made more pointer by the previous owner, it was from different wood and a bit to much visible after started to sand it, so i reshaped it also.
Since this headstock is similar to the Aristides used in this guitar i made it look a bit more similar to this.
The plan is to play around with 2 stains, i took some inspiration from this guitar that also used Wudtone stains to get this visual, but i will use a slightly different color for the darkening Dark Onyx and Carmine Gypsy witch i already used in the past.
