Page 3 - One Becomes Two
Well with two finishes i am sure there's enough to finish an other guitar, so one more project to the bucket list, and i have parts laying around...
Remember when i said the area for the 3/5 way switch blade is extremely thin? Orbital sander.... the wood has to many pores where the old finishes is still present, i spotted yellow in some sections and some blue stuff here, and these pores are much lower than the surface so i don't think its discoloration from the sanding.
Since that section was very thin and the sanding to be done looked to much i cut off the wood. Problem solved.
Lies..... maybe a tiny scratch plate will do the job. Did experiment with a new technique for making this stuff. In the past i draw it on paper or transparent plastic and then try to draw it on the scratch plate material, not very accurate and if the material is dark not very visible. So new method, draw on paper cut it to shape, used double sided duck tape and glue the paper on the tape, remove the part the protects the other side off the duck tape and now you have a sticker that can be glued to the scratch plate material.
Much more easy to cut and shape this way since i know the actual shape i want.
I don't like it, so garbage bin that idea...
That's not plastic, its ebony.
