Page 4 - The Truth, you can't Handle the Truth
The reality is that the only way to get this guitar completely clean would require to much wood to be removed and re-carved, the neck is one area i did reshape a small amount to reduce those marks that could be felt, the body is already thin in some parts around the control cavity and the input jack hole is almost has large has the guitar body in that area, so this guitar wont have a clean start, its not realist to expect that, so instead off making it pretty lets make it ugly.
There's was a previous repair done here that was to much visible i removed the wood sanded it and re-glue it, looks OK.
This is more or less how the body looked after sanding, the last photo is blurry but its the last one i took when the body was sanded, there's still pigments deep in the wood grain in the ash, and the maple does not want to let the old pigment be removed.
Well only the original jack input socket can be placed there and i don't like it, but a telecaster style one does fit in, and that's a clue for the Dark Rider.
